and skilled Consultant with over 14 years experience
backed by 25 years of diverse experience,
responsibilities, and significant achievements as a
corporate manager.
Robert's Mediation & Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
work includes civil and family mediation as well as Life
Coaching to address external and internal conflict.
Robert is a registered mediator with the Georgia Office
of Dispute Resolution. He has mediated numerous cases as
well as provided training for new and experienced
mediators. Robert speaks about conflict, differences,
and life changes on all levels and the personal and
professional impact this causes.
Robert has provided cultural and diversity awareness
training throughout the USA to several thousand
employees within DOD, FTA, FDIC, NASA, USIA, the states
of Georgia, Florida, New York and other state and
federal government agencies. This same type of work has
also been delivered in the private sector for fortune
500 companies, e.g., AT&T, Brother International,
Carrier Corporation, Champion International, CG&E, CIPS,
CIGNA, ComED (Nuclear Division), DEC, DBM, Exxon, IBM,
J&J Corporation, Johnson Controls, Inc., KnowledgeWare,
MARTA, Sonicraft Incorporated, Union Carbide, and
others.
During his corporate career, he held a variety of
positions: first as a Technician, then as a Systems
Engineer, a Manager in communication systems
engineering, corporate training, manufacturing, human
resources, public relations, and corporate real estate.
As a Manager, Robert gained valuable experience while
working with individuals and groups (represented and
non-represented) affected by company restructuring. It
is this experience coupled with his knowledge of human
behavior he brings to his work with organizations and
the people going through job/career/life changes due to
restructuring. His book, Facing the Future: A Practical
Guide to Career Transition, covers different strategies
and skills for approaching the internal and external job
market and the many changes taking place in today's
workplace and the world marketplace.
Mr. Carey has studies in the Master of Business
Administration program at Nova University, a BS degree
in Management and Business, Certificates in Organization
and System Development (two-year program) and Group
Processes (one-year program) from the Gestalt Institute
