A graduate of Middle Georgia College, Carolyn holds an A.A. in Education. She is a registered mediator with the Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution. She has served as Chief Development Director for Girl Scouts of Middle Georgia, Inc., Georgia Children's Museum and as Volunteer & Fund Development Manager for the Southeast Georgia Region of the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia and Alabama, Inc.

Having volunteered on the local level as Board Chair of Girl Scouts of Middle Georgia, she is now a National Operational Volunteer with Girl Scouts of the USA with expertise in Corporate Management, Council Performance Assessment, Facilitation and Mediation.

Currently, she serves on the Board of Directors for Make-A-Wish Foundation of GA & AL, Macon Region and Citizen's Panel Review Board, Bibb County Juvenile Court.
